Licenses
Many of DVA's patents are generally directed to optical disc technology and are not limited to any particular optical disc format. Manufacturers and sellers of any optical disc player or disc products should familiarize themselves with DVA's patent portfolio and corresponding patent claims.
DVA offers a number of patent license agreement options, including "patent-by-patent" licenses under one or more of any of DVA's patents for both players and discs.

DVA offers a blended rate for all worldwide production and sales of optical playback products; that rate is 0.5% of Net Selling Price.

DVA offers pre-paid license agreements that allow a licensee to pay, at the rates provided above, for a defined amount of production over a term of years at an amount reduced by the net present value of that estimated royalty amount.

Most licensees take a version of the agreements above. DVA is always willing to discuss license agreements that will meet a manufacturer's particular needs and circumstances.
Other entities also claim to require licenses to manufacture optical discs and optical disc players. Taking a license from DVA will not affect the claims of those entities.
